Free-gliding screws
There is some interest in the use of the Free-Gliding screw as a method of fixation of the epiphysis, particularly in younger children. This provides the theoretical benefit of allowing some ongoing longitudinal growth, which may allow some remodeling of the deformity. More long-term studies are required to identify which patients will benefit from this.[53][54]
