Patient discussions
Patients should be informed that they may still be infectious at discharge. Carers and partners should be instructed to avoid contact with the blood and body fluids of the patient for several months. Sexual transmission of the CCHF virus has been reported, and the presence of the virus in the blood or in body fluids may last up to 90 days.[54][55]
