Emerging treatments
External cephalic version before term
One Cochrane review of three randomized trials found external cephalic version (ECV) at 34 to 35 weeks' gestation reduced the rate of noncephalic presentation and vaginal breech birth compared with ECV at term. However, early ECV increased the risk of late preterm birth.[76]

Moxibustion
There is inconclusive evidence regarding the effectiveness and safety of moxibustion, a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves burning herbs close to the skin near the tip of the fifth toe to stimulate the acupuncture point as a means of correcting breech presentation.[77]

Women should consult their pregnancy care provider before attempting this.
Postural management
There is inconclusive evidence regarding the effectiveness and safety of maternal postural techniques such as knee-chest exercises used to influence fetal position and promote cephalic version.[78] Women should consult their pregnancy care provider before attempting these techniques.
