Secondary prevention
PP has a moderate risk of recurrence (0.7%).[13] Careful attention should be paid to the position of the placenta in the next pregnancy; ultrasound should be obtained mid second trimester. If there is an anterior placenta in the next pregnancy, there is concern for placenta accreta spectrum involving the cesarean scar.[4][92] Early consultation should be obtained as appropriate.
