Prognosis
Symptomatic patients with WPW syndrome should undergo catheter ablation as a first-line therapy.[17] Catheter ablation has a high efficacy and low risk and can be used either as initial therapy or for patients experiencing side effects or arrhythmia recurrence during drug therapy. Patient preference is always an important consideration in these scenarios. Subjects with WPW pattern (asymptomatic patients), except for those with specialised jobs, should not be treated but can be monitored for symptoms.
