Tinnitus severity index (TSI)[47]

TSI is a questionnaire that may be completed by patients to rank severity. The score ranges from 0 to 45. The higher the score, the more the tinnitus has a negative impact on a patient's life and the more bothersome the tinnitus. It is not correlated to the loudness in decibels of the perceived tinnitus.

Tinnitus handicap inventory[48]

The questionnaire places the patients in four handicap-severity categories: none, mild, moderate, and severe.

Tinnitus handicap questionnaire[49]

This questionnaire contains 27 items. The score demonstrates the social, physical, and emotional handicap of the patients because of tinnitus. The larger the score, the more severe the handicap.
