Screening
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The CDC recommends periodic screening for anemia among high-risk populations of infants, preschool children, pregnant women, and women of childbearing age.[9]
US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF)
The USPSTF has concluded that there is insufficient evidence to determine the balance of benefit and harms of routine screening for IDA in pregnant women and in children ages 6 to 24 months.[61][62][115][116]
