Amebiasis

Patients treated for amebiasis should be warned of the adverse effects of the drugs that they are receiving, of the need to adhere to the follow-up course of a luminal agent to eradicate colonization (and thereby prevent relapse), and of the symptoms and signs of complications of amebiasis.
