Diagnostic tests
1st tests to order
- erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
- C-reactive protein (CRP)
- antineutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibodies (ANCA)
- assessment for glomerulonephritis
- biopsy of affected tissue
Tests to consider
- conventional angiography or magnetic resonance angiography (MRA)
- positron emission tomography (PET) scan
