Patient discussions
Discuss reproductive wishes, the risks of ovarian dysfunction and infertility, and options for fertility preservation before beginning treatment for patients of reproductive age.[130][131] Discussion of fertility issues should be ongoing and continue throughout survivorship.
Patients should be given information about symptoms of recurrence. Encourage early reporting of significant symptoms (vaginal pain, bleeding, swelling).
Patient education should include healthy lifestyle advice, sexual health, and potential long-term and late effects of treatment.
If applicable, patient education and counselling (preferably involving both partners) are very important components of managing sexual dysfunction.
